What a weekend!

Friday Night we took it easy and stayed in.  I went back to work Friday after being out two days sick and ended up working for 11 hours and forgot to take a lunch.  I was pretty wiped out.

Saturday I had Lexi over in the morning and cleaned up a bit around the house.  Saturday night we had dinner with MacKenzie at K O'Donnell's and watched the ASU game (sad).  It was really great to catch up with MacKenzie.  I hadn't seen her in a while and Josh was a good sport with the girl talk.  :)

After that, we swung by Handlebar J's to wish our friend Laura a happy birthday!  I really wish I knew how to two step!!  The dance floor was filled with people dancing and I totally wanted to join in.

Today, my mom and I went to Surprise (The name of the town is now ironic to me. *see next paragraph to understand). to a holiday boutique where my sister-in-law, Abbi, was showing off her newest venture Sparkle Me Pretty.  My mom will be placing an order for some Christmas gifts and Abbi is going to bling a pair of shoes for me, too!  Get in touch with Abbi and place your holiday gift orders soon!

This evening, we celebrated Abbi's birthday with a surprise party at our friends', Mark & Jamey's, house.  She was surprised, *but I have a terrible poker face which might have given her a couple of clues today.  Luckily, she picked up on other family member's clues (ahem Jeff & Barbara) also, so I wasn't the only one!  We had a great time with the family and it was so fun to surprise her!

Now off to a busy week at work with my birthday at the end of the tunnel!  We will be bowling Friday night after work at Lucky Strike to celebrate both my and MacKenzie's birthday.

have a great week!

Sophi Turns One

Happy birthday to my youngest, favorite niece, Sophia!

She turned one this past Thursday, November 11th.  What a lucky little girl, having an 11/11 birthday!  We celebrated her first 365 days with our family.  Abbi and Jeff had us all over for hot dogs and cheese burgers.  Abbi (as always) made the cutest cake with matching cupcakes. The Ducky theme for "Soapi's" party was simply adorable.

I will leave you with pictures:

Pumpkin Patch

These last couple of weekends have been so nice!  After our wedding, honeymoon and Melissa's wedding, it has been nice to go back to "normal" life free from wedding planning (although, it was SO FUN!).

Yesterday, Josh and I went to Tolmachoff Farms with AMIS (Abbi, Maddi, Izzi and Sophi), Jen, Lexi and my mom!  My grandma met us there briefly and it was nice to see her, too!

I had a ball with my new nieces (and new sisters)!  They are such great girls and so dang adorable.  I don't need to tell you that, you can see for yourself:

Bridal Shower

I had the best time at my bridal shower!  Melissa, MacKenzie and Lindsay did a great job planning it!  Aunties Adrienne and Renee and my mom all brought yummy food.  There were pretty decorations and monogrammed cupcakes!  We played fun games and we had a great turn out of my friends and family!  I have completed half of my thank you cards, so my apologies if you have not received yours yet.  Thank you to all my friends and family for making my shower so special!

Here are some pictures from the fun!

Happy World Turtle Day!

May 23rd is World Turtle Day and to celebrate, I thought I would share photos of Cousteau and Kaylee, both red-eared sliders, in their new habitat on my back patio.

Cousteau and Kaylee belong to my sister, Jamie, who is in Pinetop for the summer counting bears.  Yes, counting bears.  She works for Arizona Game & Fish!  For the summer, I have my niece and nephew turtles and a giant algae eater in a huge stock tank with homemade fixins'!  Jamie made the filter, plastic chicken wire cover and center platform for turtle basking.

These are all photos of Cousteau (the boy).  You can tell because he has long claws.  Kaley has stumpy little hands.

Jamie has had the turtles for about 3 years now.  Here is what they looked like when she first got them.  First Cousteau, then Kaylee.  So cute!!

They both swim up to the top of the tank when I come over since they have learned that I feed them!  I will share more pictures as summer goes on.  Hopefully, I'll catch them basking on their platform.

OH EM GLEE

My parents treated Jamie, Eric, Josh and me to Glee tickets!  We saw the second performance of the entire tour Sunday at Dodge Theater.  It was so awesome!

I learned the term "squee" and now know what to call that noise I make!  Also, @chriscolfer tweeted right before the show started that he was pretty sure he'd fall in his Gaga shoes at some point during the tour, but he did not and oh man, was that number incredible.

After the show, we had a really good lunch at Sun Up Brewing Company on 3rd Street and Camelback.  They have homemade kettle chips with chipotle ketchup and sweet potato fries, which I always like!  I had an amber cask beer that is brewed right there.  Let me tell you, it was delicious and potent.  I was ready for a nap after that meal!

Housewarming Fun!

Josh and I settling in to the groove of cohabitation.  We've both raised our eyebrows at the other a handful of times.  You think you know someone... and then you live with them.  In all honesty though, I love our home and I love that I share it with Josh.

We had a really nice housewarming party two weeks ago with friends and family.  Throughout the evening I counted over 50 people who stopped by!  Granted that includes kids, but it was such a great turnout.  It meant a lot to us to share our new home with our friends and family.  I'm sorry that I didn't get more pictures through out the night.  If anyone has any, I would love to get them from you!

We setup up our own version of a photo booth and Jamie supplied the props.  We let people do their own thing, and boy did they!

We have the best friends and family you could ever ask for!
