Now that we are moved and unpacked (it only took a week!), I am diligently making the wedding a priority.
We already have our DJ - Got You Covered's Mr. Eric "Hampton" Cheroske. He and I got together in February, but that wasn't the first time we worked together (see photo - Eric is on the left and yes, that's my real hair). I am so excited to have him - he's FireSky's favorite and THE best DJ!
And of course, Josh's brother Chris will be marrying us. We still need to sit down with him to go over the details, but it will be truly special that he will be performing our ceremony.
Today I signed our contract for our wedding photographer - Sarah Hagerty, of Hagerty Photography! She is a favorite vendor at FireSky and I know we're going to work so well together. Stay tuned for our engagement photos!
When asked how wedding planning is coming along, I explain it's not so much the planning, but rather the paying for deposits that is the tricky thing. I've got all of my vendors picked out and I'm just silently hoping that no one else books them before I can make a deposit and sign my contract. Luckily, our Friday wedding should be pretty safe, but you never know... [insert drama]
When I first started the process, I bought Wedding Etiquette for Dummies (I'm not kidding) and The Wedding Book and read them both (almost) cover-to-cover. Then, I made my own time line that worked with our budget. Sure, there are tons of checklists that suggest when to do what, but what it really comes down to is, "we'll do that when we can pay for it." :-)
Seriously? You’re back? No, not me, YOU are back…

I have an AWESOME invitation recommendation, if you still need someone! Let me know!
Thanks Mya! I'm actually saving a ton of money and doing it myself. What is the name of your friend's company though? She has such CUTE stuff!
She is Dulce Creative Designs (dulcecreative.com) and she has a DIY package too! She designs them and sells the pieces to you so you can do them yourself! If you contact her, drop my name. :)
