Neighborhood Cats.

There are so many cats in my neighborhood that it is quite frequent that a black one will dart in front of my path. If I worried about each time this happened that it would create bad luck*, I might be in trouble.

However, this does not mean that when I see a black cat sitting on the sidewalk, I do not think, "stay put little kitty...stay put" with a small amount of fear feeding me. There is simply no need to wish for the superstition to cross your path. You can only not worry once it has.

*I do not believe in bad luck anyway - only serendipity!
